2021 FALL HARVEST FESTIVAL

HABITABLE SPACES 10TH ANNUAL FALL HARVEST FESTIVAL Featuring music by Garrett T. Capps

On November 13th from 12 to 6pm, Habitable Spaces joins with the city of Kingsbury to host its 10th annual Fall Harvest Festival in historic downtown Kingsbury, Texas. The Fall Harvest Festival is a free one-day celebration including live music and dancing, a bustling farmer's market, local vendors and artisans, a hay-dive, dessert competition, a trading post and interactive workshops by the Guadalupe County Master Gardeners, 4 H, The Central Texas Mycological Society, and much more! Kids can find up to $400 in coins at the Hay Dive, participate in free fun activities in the interactive zone, and trade items in the trading post. Adults can buy some beautiful, handcrafted items from local artisans, and dance in the streets to live music all day. As is tradition, the Habitable Spaces Trading Post will be there, offering up beautiful, handcrafted items, art and farm goods for trade. Bring something handmade or grown on your farm to trade!

The Kingsbury Speakeasy will be serving beer, wine and farm to table food, and we will have free music all day featuring Keen Country Band, Firewater, and Garret T Capps.

All events take place on Railway street in downtown Kingsbury.

THE TRADING POST

Habitable Spaces will bring its tiny home trading post, where your money's no good! All items inside the trading post can only be traded for something handmade or home grown. Built with a grant from Union Pacific, the Trading Post is a Fall Harvest fixture, and festival regulars make items specifically meant for trade inside its doors.

THE HAY DIVE

The Kingsbury Hay dive is another Fall Harvest fixture. Each year kids can find up to $400 in Susan B. Anthony dollar coins and tokens in a big hay pile. Kids are invited in to search for the loot in the Hay. If they get a token, they can trade it in for candy and even larger prizes!

THE FARMER AND ARTISANS MARKET

With over 50 vendors, the Fall Harvest Festival is a great place to find unique handmade gifts. The market is filled with artisan soaps and felted craft pieces alongside homegrown honey and vegetables. So don’t forget to bring your spending money!

UTOPIA SCHOOL

The Utopia School is a temporary free school and social center for sharing information about both failed and successful Utopian projects while working towards new ones. The school launches at Fall Harvest and runs from November 13-20th with workshops, lectures and a communal kitchen. Participants are invited to drop in and take a class, or even sign up to teach a class to the community. The Utopia School is the brainchild of former resident artist Jamie Iglehart.
