Fall Harvest 2020:
Art Registration

We invite you to create an art piece that will be exhibited as part of a competition at this year’s Fall Harvest Festival. The artwork will be judged by a panel curated by Habitable Spaces administration with prize ribbons in each category. The grand prize winner will receive a blue ribbon and $100 in cash. After the competition, the pieces will be auctioned off during the festival and the proceeds will go to support the Kingsbury Volunteer Fire Department and the Fall Harvest Festival.   

 

Registration deadline is FRI OCT 23RD.

 

Pieces must be delivered by SAT NOV 7TH and will be on view all week until the Fall Harvest festival. Prize ribbons will be awarded on FRI NOV 13TH.

 

ALL ARTWORK MUST FIT INTO ONE OF THESE CATEGORIES:

 

FROM TRASH TO TREASURE: Take something that has been discarded and make it into something with value.

 

ART ON THE RANGE: Create something that can be displayed as a public art piece in an outdoor space in the country.

 

 

AGRICULTURAL: The materials in the piece must be agriculturally based 

 

-OR-

 

ECO-DEGRADABLE: When the piece decays, it must give back to the place that it inhabits. 

 

Examples of possible pieces could include:  

A quilt made from used feed bags, a sculpture made with hay bales, sculptures made out of old farm equipment, horseshoe art.

 

All artwork that needs a tractor or large equipment for installation must be installed and uninstalled by the artist or artist team.

Vendor Space Agreement

All Registrants understand that all pieces must be delivered by SAT NOV 7TH 2020 and will be on view all week until the Fall Harvest festival. All artwork that needs a tractor or large equipment for installation must be installed and uninstalled by the artist or artist team.  Entries will be considered a donation to benefit the Kingsbury Volunteer Fire Department and the Fall Harvest Festival.  If art is sold at auction, Registrants agree to claim the cost earned as a tax deductible donation to these entities.

Social Media Agreement

All registrants agree to promote the Habitable Spaces 9th Annual Fall Harvest Festival via their social media sites leading up to, and the day of, the event. This includes sharing posts and inviting friends to the event. Please use the following hashtags when posting pictures or promoting the event: #habitablespaces #kingsburytx #9thannualfallharvestfestival
